This was a fun build

This was a fun build. As with all of the kits, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I appreciate the creativity demonstrated in the design of the final product. The little wires, and geared discs, add a touch making the final critter a bit more than just a spider with an awesome weapons package on its back. Speaking of the awesome weapons package. It was, well, awesome.

Minerva's Mercy

So, I started working on the spider a few weeks ago, but life intervened and I had to put it aside for a little while. This is my 4th Mecrob project after the Aetherwings, Aethercore and Pathfinder, and I've loved them all. My break allowed me give a bit of thought to some mods I'm thinking of trying with the leg articulations and the LED eye lighting. We'll see. I'm of retirement age and enjoy the challenges presented by these 3D puzzles involving planning, deciphering the occasionally opaque instructions and general hand/eye coordination. Most of all, though, they're freaking fun! And my wife, the artist of the family, wholeheartedly approves. BTW, my first 3 projects are posed in my work cubicle (a part time retirement job) and my clients often comment on them.

A rewarding and enjoyable experience

You can tell that it is a quality product even down to the packaging. I have already built the Aethercore and Atherwings and really enjoyed the experience of building them. This one is a little more intricate and a challenge because of the small parts. The quality and fit of the pieces is excellent and rewarding to build. A lot of thought seems to have gone into the design process. I would definitely recommend this kit and will be buying more Mecrob kits myself.

This was an absolute joy to build and create with superb packaging, instructions and guidence. Fantastic parts quality including all the lighting and spares batteries.
It did take me a little time to build but i took it slow and enjoyed it more by doing so.

Like an Erector set on steroids!

I loved my Erector set as a child, and for the past few years, I have been into the advanced Lego sets. While surfing the net, I discovered Mecrob kits. Since I love to build, I thought I would purchase a kit and see if I liked it. I was not disappointed. I chose Minerva's Mercy, and I thoroughly enjoyed the building experience. The plasma ball really sets it off. In fact, I was so impressed with the quality of the parts and ease in understanding the instructions, I have ordered Aethercore, Aerherwings, Pathfinder and Scavenger for my collection.

Now I'm hooked

This is quite a complicated kit but the quality of the parts and the clarity of the instructions mean anyone with enough time and patience can complete it and create a fantastic model. Ther best advice I could give is label the legs with the number of the final construction step for each, it will make connecting them to the body later a lot easier, not all legs are the same! Don't let the number of parts put you off, with the front lighting and plasma ball rear this is a visually impressive kit.
